My favorite Thanksgiving food is sweet potatoes topped with Pecans and marshmallow!
ReplyDeleteYummy Yummy Yummy!!

My favorite Thanksgiving dish has to be cornbread dressing with homemade giblet gravy. Yes, I know that's two things. :-)

I love raw cranberry relish -- whirl one package of cranberries with sugar and a cut-up orange in the food processor -- recipe from the back of Ocean Spray cranberries!
ReplyDeleteSpicy cornbread pecan dressing - either my mom or sister make it every year. The cayenne pepper kick makes it stand out on the Thanksgiving plate!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite thanksgiving dish, ( how can I include just one ) has to be cranberry relish with jalapeno peppers for a little zing. I have to add portobello mushroom gravy on mashed potatoes and or stuffing with apples is the entire families favorite. Both are essential.
ReplyDeleteI think it would be my mother-in-law's rolls but my daughter eats so many I can't tell you the last time I had one! So, I'll have to go with apple pie made by either my spouse or her mom, one of the few times I'll accept a non-chocolate dessert! No, wait, it has to be the dressing (i.e., stuffing, but not stuffed in a bird: it doesn't fit well in a Quorn roast!). Yes, that's it: dressing!! The apple pie is second, for sure.
ReplyDeleteI have no idea how to make it, but it's stuffing with apples. I spent Thanksgivings in college with my roommate's extended family in Maine and this is a dish one of her aunt's made. I've asked for the recipe, but no luck in getting it.
ReplyDeleteI love the mashed potatoes! Thanksgiving used to be the only day of the year my brother and I could trade a food, so I gave him my dressing (which I now love) and he gave me his mashed potatoes (which he now loves).
ReplyDeleteStuffing! Mmm, mmm, mmm.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Thanksgiving foods have always been the sides. If I had to pick one, I'd say mashed potatoes!! Stuffing would come in second place.
ReplyDeletei love a creamy butternut squash soup or any form of stuffing! oh, and stuffed portabellas!!

My favorite - yams with marshmallows and butter. It's been awhile since I've had it, and now that I've remembered it, I will put it into the menu for this year!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea to give away Nava's book. You've got to read her "Secret Recipes for the Modern Wife". Especially for the Holidays!
Yum. Vegan pumpkin pie!

I love Nava's books! Don't have this one.
ReplyDeleteHmmm ... my favorite Thanksgiving dish? Well, if it's not Italian, it has to be roasted chestnuts - Hey! Wait, that IS Italian!
